Implicit in the earning of the CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional) certification is that the candidates have advanced knowledge of Cisco Systems CallManager, quality of service (QoS), gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, voice applications, and utilities on Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.

What are the compulsory exams to earn credit towards CCVP?

Candidates who wish to become a CCVP must pass the QOS 642-642 exam, the CVOICE 642-432 exam, the IPTT 642-425 exam, the CIPT 642-444 exam, and the GWGK 642-452 exam. In preparation for this exam candidates are advised to also do the training courses Quality of Service (QOS), Cisco Voice Over IP (CVOICE), IP Telephony Troubleshooting (IPTT) part 1 and part 2, Cisco IP Telephony (CIPT) and Implementing Cisco Voice Gateways and Gatekeepers (GWGK). (Please note that these training courses are a recommendation.) These training courses are available from Cisco Bootcamp.

What can be done in terms of Recertification for CCVP?

The certification validity period is three years. Certification will thus be required.
